Colorado Fall Engagement Session on the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway

Grace and Mac spent two hours with us dancing their way through some of the most beautiful fall scenes Colorado can give us. We hit things off when I met them in Texas photographing her sister’s gorgeous wedding, so when they moved to Boulder at the beginning of the pandemic and got engaged, we decided to embrace all the fall colors for their engagements.

I was already up in the mountains for a fall wedding the day before, so I researched best fall locations, or prettiest autumn views in Colorado Mountains, there was one area near us that kept popping up - the Peak to Peak Scenic Byway. We decided to make Nederland, CO our meeting point. The weather was unusually warm for September, which was perfect for feeling the warmth of the sun on our skin. I love seeing the bright yellow aspens sway in the wind, the tall golden grass illuminating the lake, and the whole variety of this location.

This set is one of my favorite sessions I’ve ever photographed, and it feels so much like what I love about photography, but also what I would want if Joe and I were to be photographed. Cheers to Mac & Grace!
