Engagement at Paint Mines Interpretive Park

Caitlin and Zach are such a cool couple. They are starting their own architecture firm together, so when we began dreaming up their engagement session, we knew we wanted to collaborate nature + unique design - the Paint Mines Interpretive Park was it.

Our dear vendor friends Katie and Ryan (owners of Peach Creek Ranch) referred Caitlin my way for their engagement session since they recently moved to Denver. Once we decided on the location, I asked them loads of questions to get to know them. When I know a couple might be shy, getting to know each other before the session is so important - while I couldn’t meet with them in person beforehand, I am so thankful they answered the questions in depth! I felt like I knew them, and I was able to ask even deeper questions during our time, but also joke around with them.

We somehow were able to avoid a massive thunderstorm. It was heading our way and got very dark at one point, but the storm split and literally went to either side of the Paint Mines. It was WILD to witness! At the end of our session, the sun finally popped out and we were able to get some gorgeous sunny images, especially the ones with the harsh light and thunderstorm - like wow. So freaking cool. I love my job - celebrating love, witnessing God’s creation at work, and feeling so fulfilled in what I can create with others.
