Hi, I’m Shannon - your photographer!
As your photographer, you’ll have an encouraging hype-woman, joyful helper, and knowledgable ally. Celebrating marriages brings me incredible joy, and I think one of the reasons I am passionate about your marriage, is that I absolutely love my marriage to Joe. I believe in the heart of marriage and family, which makes my job a whole lot more meaningful.
You’ll receive multiple guides based on your needs, videos on how to feel more comfortable in front of the camera, location guides from all over Colorado, and so much more (especially if you also book our DJing services!)

My favorite places in the whole world are Iceland, Yosemite National Park, and Italy!
I have endometriosis, so my baby girl Florence is a miracle and the best part of my life!
I’m a thrifter - any thrifties out there? I would love to photograph a ‘thrifted’ wedding or session!
What does it feel like to work with me?
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Shannon. She was so responsive, kind and in control. On a hectic wedding day, Shannon made sure everything was going smoothly and everything I’ve ever dreamed of. Shannon constantly checked in with my husband and I throughout the day. Shannon was my person to lean on to vent to, share a nervous laugh with or just take a break. Her pictures superseded our expectations. We are so in love with all of our them. The pictures are phenomenal, I have received countless compliments. Shannon would reply to my text or email with 24 hours and was very easy to work with. Shannon is amazing, her work is amazing and I cannot thank her enough!”

FAQ
-
Yes!! I travel frequently for weddings and sessions.
For most of my wedding collections, travel is included for travel fees and one night of accommodations in Colorado.
For family sessions and engagements, I offer a two hour session that includes travel fees in Colorado for one night.
-
First, I always send sneak peeks within 48 hours - wohoo!
It depends on the season. May - November is our busy season, so our lead times are slower. On average, sessions are 3-4 weeks and weddings are 6-8 weeks.
-
They aren’t included in my collections, but we can add them for your wedding!
-
Sessions:
While my minimum is one hour, I really think two hours is perfect. After the first hour, you’re more comfortable, we can get more creative. If you have a family session that has more than 10 people, I require a two-hour session.Weddings:
Ideally, I believe that 8 hours is the perfect amount of time for me to capture all the details of your wedding. Some wedding days do require more coverage, so we can go into a more customized timeline for you! I have helpful timelines for your aid, and we can even meet for coffee to go over what is best for your wedding day. I love coffee & wedding conversations.I love the story-telling aspect of photography! The emotions, power of a commitment, and the "real moments" or "in-between" shots get me fired up, because those are truly organic. With that in mind, you will likely get roughly 75-100 images an hour.
-
Absolutely, please reach out! I loving hearing about what you are envisioning for your first day of marriage! I could be having an off season, traveling to your area, or I have vendor-friends I can recommend to you too.
-
Yes. We have a nonrefundable 25% retainer fee plus a signed contract to secure your wedding date.
-
Yes, absolutely! In fact, my work is about 50% weddings/engagements and 50% family sessions. I am very comfortable photographing a whole range of ages and lifestyles during family sessions, and I photography a tooon of multi-generational families. My style for family portraits leans more casual and non-traditional, though I totally try to get a few portraits with everyone smiling at the camera!
-
Incredibly well - I believe my adaptability is one of my strengths. Not to be boastful, but in fact, my own wedding had to be 100% replanned 36 hours prior to saying “I Do” — there was a flood, a tornado, venue change, needing new rentals, flights delayed, everything literally changed within 2 days of the wedding — and I have helped countless couples adapt to uncontrollable circumstances. Rain? I have clear umbrellas for you two! Travel delays? Don’t worry, we can get creative photos while we wait. Timeline all messed up? I can switch things around in a snap.
Basically, working dozens and dozens of weddings that had situations pop up out of our control has given me total calm and flexilibity when it comes to taking care of you on your wedding day.
What is it like to work with me?
“Shannon was one of the most helpful people that we could have asked for when looking for an elopement photographer in Colorado. We were struggling to figure out exactly what our timeline was going to look like for our wedding, but she really helped us figure out how everything was going to look and play out throughout the day! Without her, we wouldn’t have had such a well planned day and probably would have been a lot more stressed than we were. She was also super nice and easy to work with! Their website says that they “love weddings - a lot”, and you can really tell with how hard Shannon works to make sure you have the best wedding possible!
The photographs she took were beyond amazing! All of the photos did such a great job of documenting our day, and she also put in the effort of sorting all of the photos in order on the website so we can relive our elopement again and again. While we were shooting, she also came up with some really fun ideas throughout the day that ended up being some of our favorite photos, since they really felt like they captured our personalities! We could not be happier with them!
Finally, Shannon is also amazing at creating tablescapes and sitting areas for an intimate post wedding dinner! She really turned the space we had into something very special, and it looked beautiful in person and in the photos. I would HIGHLY recommend that if you’re looking to elope/wed in Colorado and need a photographer to reach out to Shannon! We only used Century Tree Co for photography, but they offer a lot more useful services as well such as DJ-ing and officiating, which are both run by her husband Joe, who is just as nice and amazing to work with as Shannon is!”

What is it like to work with me?
“We had the best experience with Century Tree for our engagement shoot. The photos and quality were absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. Shannon was amazing - she made us feel completely at ease and made the whole experience fun and memorable. Even my fiancé, who usually hates having his photo taken, said “that was so much fun” which is huge. Shannon kept us in the loop throughout the entire process and I highly recommend her for capturing your special moments!”
