The Barn at Sunset Ranch in Buena Vista, CO - Fall Elopement + Wedding
This wedding was simply epic. Erik and Mae traveled from Miami to have their destination elopement in Buena Vista, CO. We originally planned on having their elopement at one of our favorite hikes in the region, but they closed the trail, so we landed on Cottonwood Pass. Unfortunately, an unusual storm rolled in the day before and left us with fog and misty skies for their sunrise hike. We rerouted to Cottonwood Lake to be in the golden aspens and hopefully get lake views if it opened up. We spent three hours saying private vows and creating magic together!
Later in the day, we had their wedding at The Barn at Sunset Ranch (incredible venue!) and had warm, blue skies. All the storms went around their ceremony location, and we even had a double rainbow by the end. We partied the night away with some of the best vendors, including our videography pals Acts of Adventure. Check out their wedding video - it’s a masterpiece!

”From Erik and I rock-paper-scissoring who should do their vows first, to me TALKING so much during my vows that I drained the mic, to OUR LITERAL first kiss, to our amazing signature boba drinks …Erik and I had a morning "elopement" and hike session to pray for each other before the wedding. We got to do our first look and BE us for us, with no ceremony nerves … I also got to surprise him with colorblind glasses so that he could see the fall colors and the richness of the world for the first time. Our quiet time together was my favorite of our wedding day. :') Thank you for turning our little secret, intimate moment into forever art, Shannon.
