Castle Rock, CO Newborn Portraits on Film - Portra 400

My dear friends Corey and Lindsey (maybe you remember their amazing Broadmoor wedding a few years ago) had their beautiful daughter earlier this summer. I had the honor of photographing her when she was less than two weeks old. I love her tiny details of her fingers and toes, seeing Mom and Dad cuddling her, and observing what they would do if I wasn’t there with a camera in front of them.

What was amazing about this session is that it is 100% on Film (Portra 400) - my first time ever! It made me nervous as I’ve become a hybrid photographer between digital and film, but I love how dreamy and soft it is. I love the minor imperfections that come with film images. There is something with skin tone that can never be replicated with digital images.

So thankful for this opportunity!
