Sunrise Garden of the Gods Engagement Session

MY SISTER IS ENGAGED! Well, actually, she is married now, but this session was from Winter when she visited us a week after she got engaged! We decided to wake up for a sunrise engagement session at Garden of the Gods. Blake and Cammie were total troopers spending the morning running around the park, kissing our frozen faces, and soaking in how unique this city park is. If you want to get married at Garden of the Gods, it is completely free and you don’t need a permit. You do specific places you can get married, but with COVID, I was told that you can stand up to 6 feet of the trail for social-distancing so long as it isn’t in a restoration area.

Later in the day, we had the most epic sunset. It was fire and ice - a sunset that reminded me of Game of Thrones! We were at our apartment watching TV and then we all looked out and were like - omg get dressed and let’s go outside. Literally two minutes later, we are running around in the wind watching the sunset turn from ice to fire. I told them it would be mostly silhouetted, but I am obsessed with how these moody sunset session photos turned out! Those sky images - hardly edited at all - all I did was lighten up their figures and add a little contrast to the images, but that’s it. I can’t believe how epic that sunset was. Colorado Springs is amazing, and even a random sunset with photos at our apartment complex can turn out amazing.
