Winter Gruene Estate Wedding

Emmalee & Connor had their cozy, winter wedding day in an open air chapel at the Gruene Estates in Texas, & man oh man, it was incredible.

They created a space for their family and friends to celebrate all that God has done for them. From the winter greens hanging from the chandeliers & draped across the table to the hot chocolate bar that was decked out in all sorts of dreamy winter drink goodies to the polaroid guest book that everyone loved - everything was a conversation starter.

It was so important to them for everyone to experience Christ’s love for the Church through the example set in marriage. Their open-air chapel ceremony brought everyone to tears, as Scriptures & prayers were shared amongst many in the crowd. At the end, there was a joint prayer where everyone stood and prayed over their marriage. I can remember the stillness of the crowd as their hearts opened up in vulnerability, asking God to move & do miraculous works in Emmalee & Connor’s lives.

I particularly loved this venue because of all the beautiful natural light! The bridal suite was quaint like something out of Southern Living magazine, and it gave such a welcoming ambiance to the morning. As much as I love unusual & moody lighting, there is something so gorgeous about a well-lit room that make people glow. Emmalee putting on her delicate & dainty long lace sleeve wedding dress was one of the prettiest sets of photos I’ve had the pleasure of taking. Bonus - the sleeves were a topper, and the wore a short sleeve version for the dancing so she can raise her arms in the air, and yes - everyone went crazy on the dance floor!

It was a dream photographing this wedding, feeling like I was a part of the group. The bridesmaids were so welcoming and hilarious, their families welcomed me with open arms, and I sat by the fire with many of the guests and heard incredible stories of the massive faith that Emmalee and Connor have.
Cheers to Emmalee & Connor ++
