Anniversary After-Session in Breckenridge, CO

After-sessions are one of my FAVORITE things to photograph! An After-Session takes place sometime after your wedding is complete, and for this session, you put on your wedding attire (suits and dress!) and can have a different style of portrait or simply more portraits if you had a very tight wedding timeline. You can change your hair, makeup, flowers, etc. You can choose a different location for a variety of different wedding portraits. For example, our wedding was in a house and I had a half-up half-down hairstyle, but for our after-session, I wore a flower crown and took portraits in Marfa, TX.

I often do after-sessions for couples who got married in a venue but would like to have that elopement-style portrait, like this anniversary elopement-style session below! Also, hiring an expensive photographer for your wedding can be hard on a tight budget, but I often will get booked for an after-session because it’s significantly cheaper than hiring me for a full day!

Kaitlin & Joe were spending their first wedding anniversary in Breckenridge, Colorado from the East Coast. They found me on Instagram, and we immediately hit it off! We knew we wanted to have the elopement-style session exploring a variety of landscapes, and we were extremely lucky that we had some fall colors! For two hours, we wandered around exploring waterfalls, meadows, forests, lakes. I even documented quite a bit on film using Portra 400! Talk about dreamy - I need to use film more often!
