Modern Winter Wedding Inspiration // The Gin at Hidalgo Falls.

Our goal was to create wedding inspiration for a warm & minimal theme that plays with dark textures and rich light. Every element met the criteria of embracing the winter vibes, design with minimalism in mind, and highlighting incredible design that can be affordable.

I wanted to have an alternative & modern winter wedding style - for example, just because it’s cold outside & December (or any winter month really), it doesn’t mean there has to be vibrant Christmas reds and greens themed. I was so inspired by Scandinavian Christmas decor and their use of natural elements, like cozy wool blankets and evergreen tree branches with juniper berries on hanging twigs. To me, that style was affordable and completely beautiful. It evoked a space of wonder, celebration, and focusing on what mattered. That’s why it was important to incorporate candle light & Juniper - candle-light inspires incredible conversation and the indulgence of your taste buds, and the Juniper not only smells lovely, but it is probably growing somewhere in your neighborhood begging to be foraged.

Amy at All Things Planned is my go-to planner for anything that is decadent, glamorous, and creative! I shared my winter wedding ideas to her, and she brought my vision to life. Everything from the navy velvet tablecloth to the gorgeous gold taper stick candle holders to the lush ivory cake decked out in Juniper - it was gorgeous. I love how simple it is - no fluff, just elegant design set up for incredible conversations and delicious food.
