New Year's Day Wedding in Houston // Amanda & Caleb
A wedding on New Years Day to kick off the new year in the most epic way!
Winter in Houston is the best time to get married, because the weather is really lovely (like mid 60’s on average) and there is still a lot of greenery with Pine Trees & Cedars. The weather was heavenly this day, and I wish every wedding in Texas felt as good as this one. When we arrived, all their friends and family were setting the tables with decorations and favors, but then they saw us and they gave us massive hugs. Talk about making us feel so welcomed!
First Looks are an intimate way to spend time alone and let the stress melt away. Amanda & Calebs first look was a tear-jerker! Their friends were in the windows hooting & hollering, and as soon as Amanda walked out, you could see her walk in strength. Her strength was courageous but also very emotional, and as soon as she left him speechless, they embraced each other with tears rolling down their faces for a few minutes.
What a community of people around them, lifting them up in prayer and praises. But my favorite moments were immediately following the ceremony. I try to follow my couples to capture the first few moments of being married. Their families hugged them, and Calebs family told her how much they love her, and they are so thankful she is their daughter. Tears welled up in my eye too! These are the moments I live for, and one of the many reasons why I love my job!
Cheers!
