Breckenridge Autumn Anniversary Session
We have known Liz & Cooper for years, from attending the same churches to Joe DJing their wedding three years ago, so when they texted me saying they were coming to Breckenridge and Vail for their anniversary, I knew we needed to photograph them by the water surrounded by Colorado’s fall colors and evergreens. The autumn colors of the Colorado Rocky Mountains are breathtaking, and technically these photos were the first week of fall. I bet a week after this session would’ve been prime time fall tones - especially on the famous Boreas Pass.
There are so many reasons to wear your wedding dress again and have that time photographed:
1] Your dress is beautiful and you paid a lot of money for it - wear it more than once!
2] Your wedding is over and there is no stress to keep your dress in perfect condition, so you can wear it again for a totally different vibe than your wedding portraits in your favorite dress ever.
3] Perhaps you didn’t get your dream sunset on your wedding day, maybe you didn’t even like your portraits together that much, or it poured rain your entire wedding day - after sessions in your wedding dress is a good way to have a little ‘redo’ with more control, and again, no stress!
4] Maybe you loved your wedding photos a whole lot and you just want more photos together!
5] You are on vacation and you want your time photographed (I highly encourage this - you are paying loads of money to go to an epic location and you only have cell phone photos from your trip? Hire a local photographer to photograph your honeymoon/vacation) — bring your wedding dress on trips: hike in the mountains, twirl on the beach, explore the French Quarters in New Orleans, go on a cruise, etc. Have real photos to remember your most epic moments, and you can wear your favorite dress ever!
I love photographing Texans in Colorado, mostly because after living in Texas for 6 years, I know how refreshing the mountain air can be! Cheers to Liz & Cooper for many more happy decades together! ++
