High Desert Inspiration with Foraged Bouquet

We live in Colorado Springs, and one of our favorite aspects of living in Colorado is that there are SO many free hikes and trails to take in the city, as well as the outskirts. This location (Pulpit Rock) is in the middle of the city - literally. The University of Colorado: Colorado Springs is about 500 feet away from this location, and Trader Joe’s is across the street. Pulpit Rock is a pretty simple hike, but there are multiple trails that make it short or triple the length. There are incredible views of the city and front range as well! Friendly tip: don’t go off trail, because there are multiple signs saying there are rattlesnakes here, and we found out the hard way that there are definitely rattlesnakes

This shoot was partnered with Urban Rubbish, an incredible florist team based in Texas! They took their RV for a two week road trip through Colorado, Wyoming and Montana with their families. While they passed through Colorado, we photographed their family at Garden of the Gods and also did this high desert inspired shoot. Jaelynn and Janine - with Urban Rubbish - foraged this bouquet in day. It is GORGEOUS! There were so many textures, and it was incredible to see these two ladies push the boundaries of a ‘traditional’ bouquet with only local elements found around the city. Our bride wore an Anthropologie white jumpsuit [sold out, but there is similar 1, similar 2, similar 3] which had the perfect balance of traditional and nontraditional.

We hope you love this little shoot we threw together in a day :)
